Branding Photoshoot by Edelle & Co

Pom Graphic Design // Branding Photoshoot

“My mission is simple. I always believed we are in this world to do our part, to leave our mark, and that is what I intend to do in the best way possible. I dream, I envision, therefore I create and I try my best to make this world a better place with what I can offer. I know art is a beautiful and real way to unite humanity, so I always intend to reflect what is real to me, to leave a positive mark and happy fulfilled clients. ”
- Pamela

I always struggle on how to start a blog post. First sentences either make or brake a post and your attention, so it's kind of a big deal to get it right. This mission statement definitely makes the impact I wanted.

As I was reading the questionnaire I sent to Pamela as part of the branding process I go through, I always like to ask business owner's the mission for their business. I can honestly say that this is my favorite part of the questionnaire because most of the mission statements are quite gorgeous. Pamela's from Pom Graphic Design is simply beautiful.  It's been said that beauty is within, and Pamela is just that: a gorgeous soul who honestly wants to do good in this world through her art.
Inspired by her home country, Peru, Pamela designs her artwork with a lot of color and patterns unique to the Peruvian culture. Oh, and she gets lots of inspiration from her two adorable pugs (how hands down are the cutest little pugs you'll ever see).
In this photoshoot, rather than highlighting her products, we showed more of her personal side at home with her hubby, in her colorful and vibrant office (and cute garden).

Bucketfeet Interview - The Sketch Artist Series

By: Sarah Gouda

Pamela Gallegos, creator of the Tambourine and founder of Pom Graphic Design, holds travel close to her heart. Though born and raised in Miami, her Peruvian roots have deeply impacted her art—and her many trips back to her parents' homeland have imbued her with an appreciation of the country's rich, mystical culture. It's easy to see the influence of travel and nature in her work's bright colors and tribal patterns, and the one-of-a-kind BucketFeet she recently designed are no exception.

Aside from being an immeasurably talented artist, Pamela is also refreshingly honest about her process. She readily opened up to us about the bout of creator's block she recently experienced and just what was needed to help her get through it: "Slumps are inevitable in just about all areas of our lives, and so it is with my art work as well. Usually, it takes a new project to reenergize my creativity. Recently I created my first custom “bucketfeet” shoe design. It was just before this project that I felt like I was in a bit of a creative slump. But then, the shoes came out fantastic and I had so much fun designing them! I have come to realize that the best way for me come out of a creative slump is by just “going for it”— taking on a new project with the same love and passion that I have for what I do as an artist. I just let go and enjoy the journey."

Scroll through the photos below to get an inside look at what went into this vibrant pair of BucketFeet.

Bucketfeet choose my 'Tambourine' pattern illustration to be part of their 2015 Spring line collection, and now they are even available at Bloomingdale's! This have been a really exciting year for me so far and has opened a whole new world of wonderful opportunities for me.

I have been drawing for several years now, but in April, 2013 I decided to expand my artistic drawing and design approach. Since then I have gained a lot of attention from various online stores, blogs, and great people overall. See this other post about another collaboration I did for Dakine that is now for sale in Billabong and other surf stores. http://bit.ly/pomdakineblog

It is only perseverance, passion and love for what you do that will keep you going in your path to follow and achieve your dreams.

In December 2014, I met up with Bucketfeet co-founder Aaron Firestein at Wynwood's Art Basel 2014 when I saw the shoes for the first time. I Instantly fell in love with those beautiful shoes, plus they are incredibly comfortable as well.

Below are a few more photos of these shoes traveling around the globe to some wonderful places in my beautiful country Peru. After all it is travel and nature that boosts my soul and creativity the most.
